Thousends of Business / Community Leaders go Back to School to be a ‘TEACHER FOR A DAY’ at Annual Teach-In

 What:
Thousands of local business and community leaders and involved citizens will head back into the classroom – not to be taught, but to teach. Teach-In is a day dedicated to engaging the community in student enrichment. This day is held in conjunction with American Education Week – the third week of November. This year’s national theme is Great Public Schools: A Basic Right and Our Responsibility

Volunteers will engage in a variety of activities for their in-classroom experience, such as demonstrations, career discussions, what it’s like to travel in another country, civic involvement and more.  Teach-In has brought thousands of citizens into local classrooms each year since its establishment in 1991. Teach-Inis coordinated by the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools and made possible by Bank of America and the Orlando Sentinel, which provide in-kind and financial support for the program.
