Since the first grant program was established by Darden Restaurants in 1996, over $1.25 million has been distributed to Orange County Public School teachers for classroom learning supplies and equipment, as well as teacher collaboration projects. The Foundation has five major grant programs:
In addition to these core programs and services, the Foundation engages in numerous projects and initiatives that enhance the “in-classroom” environment. These include support programs for para-professionals (teacher aides), corporate partnerships, in-kind donations and much more. We also engage in fundraising to support our programs and the needs of teachers throughout the district.
