The best grants are those that
clearly state how philanthropic dollars will allow a teacher to enhance a
lesson, allow students to apply concepts, or demonstrate ideas in various ways
to reach children who have different learning styles. All grants are trying to impact student
achievement.
The grant process is competitive,
and unfortunately funds are not always available to award every worthwhile
grant. Details count -- an accurate
budget, descriptive narrative without spelling mistakes, appropriate timeline
and measurable outcomes are all required.
Below are some successful grants that were awarded in the 2011-2012
school year.
