The Foundation’s board of directors recently completed its 2012-2015 Strategic Plan which focuses on four goals:
- Literacies First: Improve literacies of students through reading at critical points along the educational pathway as identified by professional educators.
- Quality Teaching: Increase opportunities for teachers and administrators to participate in high quality professional development and certification programs.
- Learning Support: Increase resources and rewards for teachers who develop innovative and enriching approaches to helping students learn.

Engagement: Increase family and community participation with the schools.
The Foundation’s 31 member board of directors is committed to public education and brings both breadth and depth in knowledge and skills from the business community and education sector. The board conveys transparency, accountability and business acumen to the Foundation, which impacts the education programs and initiatives it seeks to support and gives donors confidence in their investments.
