Established in 1987, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools develops and focuses community resources to make a meaningful difference in the success of Orange County Public Schools students and teachers. The Foundation serves the 10th largest public school system in the nation and supports more than 180,000 students and 13,000 teachers in 182 schools.

- Literacies First: Improve literacies of students through reading at critical points along the educational pathway as identified by professional educators.
- Quality Teaching: Increase opportunities for teachers and administrators to participate in high quality professional development and certification programs.
- Learning Support: Increase resources and rewards for teachers who develop innovative and enriching approaches to helping students learn.

The Foundation’s 32 member board of directors is committed to public education and brings both breadth and depth in knowledge and skills from the business community and education sector. The board conveys transparency, accountability and business acumen to the Foundation, which impacts the education programs and initiatives it seeks to support and gives donors confidence in their investments.
