Support a School / District Fund

The Foundation provides school and district support by matching school needs with investors who want to make a sustainable difference. The Foundation also serves as the fiscal agent for individual school and district funds. During the 2020-21 school year, the Foundation managed more than $1.3 million for 220+ school and district funds.  A list of some of those funds with online giving options are listed in the right navigation pane and below.

As the 501(c)(3) non-profit recognized by the Orange County School Board to serve as the district’s sole designated direct-support organization, we are able to hold and distribute funds to benefit individual schools as well as districtwide programs.  Contributions to these funds will be considered charitable gifts under federal income tax regulations and will be tax deductible in accordance with applicable law.

Why Become a Fund of the Foundation for OCPS

Every school has a gap between what is needed and what the annual budget covers. Many schools -- often led by engaged parents -- work to raise funds that can be used to purchase technology, pay for additional programs, supplement the cost of the school nurse, etc. With the support of the school's administration, volunteers conduct annual campaigns, hold fundraisers, and work with PTAs to leverage money to benefits their students and teachers.

By becoming a Fund of the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, schools can focus on raising funds to accomplish their goals while foundation staff serve as their “back office.”  Funds operate under the foundation’s 501(c)(3), meaning all donations are tax deductible in accordance with applicable law.
