All Volunteer Training

All new and returning Read2Succeed volunteers must attend an annual training session.  All the training sessions are held at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center (RBELC) or our Pine HIlls Read2Succeed Office and last approximately an hour.  

Volunteers are introduced to the Read2Succeed program and receive training on both the first-grade vocabulary program and the second-grade fluency program.

Returning Volunteer Training

As mentioned above, all new and returning volunteers must attend in-person training.  The trainings are offered several times a month starting in September and going through March.  

Returning volunteers are required to update their ADDitions application prior to school placement.

Volunteer Enrichment Sessions

Enrichment sessions are designed for current Read2Succeed volunteer tutors who are working with students.
 
These monthly sessions are approximately one hour. Lunch and a guest speaker are provided. Sessions begin in late October and continue through May.
