Meet the Staff

Elizabeth Conrad is the Senior Administrator for Read2Succeed, a tutoring program organized within the Curriculum and Digital Learning Department at Orange County Public Schools. The program is supported by the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools. Read2Succeed is part of the 8th largest school district in the country, with 140 elementary and K–8 schools. Mrs. Conrad coordinates accelerative tutoring experiences to develop students’ literacy skills in kindergarten, first, second, and third grades and oversees the management of the program. Read2Succeed strives to foster a love of reading, sharpen reading skills, and build student self-confidence. Her prior roles include 10 years of management experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. Her passion is in the field of education where she has contributed service in many facets for nearly 20 years.
Kt (Katie) Paxton is the Read2Succeed Resource teacher and has been teaching her whole life, starting with reading to her stuffed animals at a very young age. Kt believes that the best gift you can give any child is the gift of literacy.  She has been trained in many early literacy programs, such as SIPPS, Heggerty, LETRS, LiPS , and many more.  Kt earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Child Development and went on to complete a fifth year study to earn her K-5 teaching credential in California.  She has also been certified to teach in Idaho and Florida.  In addition, Kt holds a Master’s Degree in Education.  Kt started with the Read2Succeed program in 2014 and loves working with so many great people throughout the district.  When she is not working with children or teachers, you can find her with her nose in a book at the beach, hiking with her dog and husband, or running around Disney.
Janet Young joined the Read2Succeed team as a full-time Volunteer Coordinator in the fall of 2022.  Prior to her current role, she worked with the program as a tutor, mentoring students at various schools across the county. As a long-time Central Florida resident and avid volunteer in her community,  Janet has made it a personal commitment to focus her time on organizations that directly benefit children.  She has held leadership roles within the PTA at various OCPS schools, where her three children attend, and has devoted her time to the Girl Scouts USA as a leader for the past thirteen years.  In her spare time, she loves to cook, travel and, of course, read!
Itzel Muniz-Roldan has been one of the Volunteer Coordinators at Read2Succeed since the Fall of 2022. She has prior experience as a Spanish tutor for elementary-aged students and has volunteered in elementary schools as well as the public library. Itzel also has an interest in the arts and has had the opportunity to illustrate a couple of books. That passion for books and reading has led her to the Read2Succeed program which she believes makes a powerful difference in the lives of the students in our district. When she is not working, you can find her watching all of the latest releases at the movie theater.
