OCPS Kids' Closet

Orange County houses the 8th largest school district in the country serving almost 200,000 students.  Sixty percent of the students in Orange County Public Schools are on the Free & Reduced Meal Program, and it is estimated that nearly 10% of this population is experiencing poverty and may even be homeless.

The Kids’ Closet provides clothing to these eligible school aged children to help ensure they have the items needed to be successful in school.

Access to the Kids’ Closet is obtained through school staff in coordination with their assigned social worker.  School social workers obtain the needed clothes and other items and deliver these to the school or directly to the family.
