February is Love the Bus Month
The American School Bus Council’s (ASBC) National “Love the Bus” campaign was launched in 2007. Love the Bus is an annual month-long celebration held each February. The event highlights the important role of the yellow school bus in education and shows appreciation for our fabulous drivers and monitors who safely transport more than 25 million children to and from school every day.
During these unprecedented times, our drivers and monitors are doing their best to transport students to and from school safely.
This year, Transportation Services will host events at each of the seven compounds throughout the month to recognize the transportation services employees that help transport students to and from school safely each day. This includes Fleet Services, Operations, Routing, Business Services, Safety/Training, and IT.
How Can I Support the Love the Bus Event?
If you would like to supporr this event, please make a gift to the fund. You may give online using the form below. If you prefer to give by check, please make it payable to "Foundation for OCPS," write "Love the Bus" in the memo section, and mail it to the Foundation for OCPS, 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32801.
The OCPS Transportation Fund will maintain a separate account at the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools available only for the Love the Bus event; it will be tax deductible as a contribution to a 501(c)(3) organization with transparency and full disclosure.
