Examples of Green Schools Projects

OCPS Green Schools honors and rewards schools for their sustainability efforts to conserve energy and water, reduce waste, improve health and well-being, enhance the school grounds with gardens and outdoor learning areas while incorporating sustainability in the curriculum, and develop community partnerships. 

As a Sponsor, your organization’s contribution will directly support school sustainability programs that empower students to be prepared for environmental challenges; and provides them with the opportunities to apply learning with real-world scenarios.

Contributions to the OCPS Green School Fund can be made at any time.  The Fund can receive gifts via cash, check or credit card, in one payment or multiple installments throughout the school year. Checks should be issued to the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools mailed to the Foundation (FOCPS), 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL. 32801.  In the memo section please list OCPS Green Schools.

The Fund will maintain a separate account at the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools available only to the Green Schools program; it will be tax deductible as a contribution to a 501(c)(3) organization with transparency and full disclosure.
