Major Disaster: Give Help

Major Disasters can hit Florida hard. Fortunately, our OCPS community is stepping up to help!

Whether it’s a hurricane, a pandemic, or another major disaster in Central Florida, we focus on helping our employees, families, and students get back on track to success in Orange County Public Schools.

Cash contributions are the most effective way to help, and can be accepted through the Foundation. Simply complete the contribution form below and your gift will go to the area of greatest need in OCPS for disaster relief. You can also specify that your gift is to be used for a particular school or for the OCPS Family Fund, which helps OCPS employees directly.

People often ask if they can donate goods or gift cards. While such items are not needed yet, we will provide specifics and drop-off instructions once we know what is most needed. This page will be updated as new details are available.

On behalf of the students, teachers and schools in Orange County, THANK YOU for your generosity toward your neighbors, family and friends.

PLEASE NOTE: In the event that more funds are raised than are needed to address relief efforts, remaining funds will be directed to other urgent needs affecting students, teachers, staff, schools, and programs in our district.

Contributions to the Fund can be made at any time. The Fund can receive gifts via cash, check (payable to FOCPS) or credit card, in one payment or multiple installments throughout the school year. Checks should be mailed to the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32801.  In the memo section please list  Hurricane Relief.  If you would like to give online, please complete the information below.

Any gift you make will be tax deductible as a contribution to a 501(c)(3) organization with transparency and full disclosure.
