The Candace Harris Memorial Fund has been established to honor our colleague and friend Candace Harris who served as an Employment Specialist at the ESE Transition School.  Candace’s positive spirit was felt by the staff and students that she interacted with daily.  She consistently went above and beyond to help her students succeed and was an excellent role model.  Her quiet demeanor made it easier for her students to feel comfortable asking for help and gave them the courage to try new job skills.  Candace had high expectations for herself and all of her students and her legacy lives on in the hundreds of students who have gained employment. 

One hundred percent of the funds collected will be used in direct support for Transition School students.  Items such as uniforms, work shoes, hygiene products, bus passes for community experiences and interviews, and interview clothes, which cannot be purchased through the school budget, will help students be better prepared for the workplace.
